The Navigator from Shark Marine Technologies Inc. is transitioning into an essential diving tool.
As 2008 begins, the Navigator from Shark Marine Technologies is poised to make continued strides towards becoming an invaluable tool for divers in the armed forces, law enforcement, port security and search and recovery operations. Like many of the Shark Marine products and services, the Navigator continues to gain global recognition as an essential tool for diving operations. The latter half of 2007 saw Navigators sold to the San Diego Port Police for use in harbour patrol and search and rescue operations, as well as to the U.K. Royal Marines as a rapid beach profiling system (RBPS). The Navigator continues to receive high acclaim after a recent evaluation by army and navy divers in the Netherlands. Interest in the Navigator from armed forces around the world continues to escalate.
The Navigator is a hand-held sonar imaging and navigations system for divers. It provides the divers with acoustic imaging of their surroundings in addition to precise underwater navigation. The list of applications for the Navigator continues to grow. Currently, its applications include hull inspections, EOD operations, search and recovery, rapid beach profiling, tracking of divers, covert operations and more. The Navigator is easily configured to meet mission specific requirements with such accessories as scanning or multibeam sonar, diver propulsion system, USB camera, GPS system, Doppler Navigation System and more. All pertinent information is recorded and displayed using the DiveLog software. Many of the peripheral devices are underwater hot swappable.
