Layback and Offset
Calculator
This
inexpensive, easy to use software simplifies the calculation of target
position. This
small always on top window allows you to calculate the exact geodetic
location from side-scan and other surveys by simply entering in the boat
position, heading, layback and offset. Not only does it perform the
calculations in a flash, it allows you to save your targets, with comments
to a file importable by other software including GIS and navigation.
Anyone doing survey operations cannot afford to be without this inexpensive
time saver. |

881A
Azimuth Drive The
Model 881A Azimuth Drive is a rugged and powerful rotary actuator drive
that can be coupled to an Model 881A Profiling Sonar. The two axes
of rotation in this combined unit provide the capability to obtain
accurate, high resolution range information in any direction. In
standard applications, profiles may be made in any direction by simply
commanding the Azimuth Drive to rotate the attached profiling sonar
anywhere in a circle. The profiling sonar can then perform a
cross-sectional scan before being rotated to a new azimuth angle.
The Azimuth Drive uses the same RS-485 serial communications line and
command structure as the profiling head. A single, simple to use PC
compatible computer program operates both, and full communications
protocol specifications are provided for designing customized software. |

EchoSounder The
Model 881A Echo Sounder is a completely self-contained echo sounder with a
serial output. It is mounted in a pressure-proof housing with an
underwater connector for use in depths up to 3000 meters (10000 feet).
It can be used as a standard echo sounder or with digitized first returns
only. Its requirements are minimal, needing only a power source and
a digital interface to an external device such as a personal or laptop
computer. It uses the 881A control/data format and can be used with
the 881A Multiplexer. |

852
Ultra-Miniature
The Model 852 Digital Imaging Sonar was
designed for use with the smallest of ROV's. For maximum flexibility, this
is a design with a fluid filled front end and a pressure housing for the
electronics. The unit requires approximately 2.5 Watts from 24 VDC, or
optional 48 VDC. Serial communication is utilized, RS-485 or RS-232 at
115.2 kbps. This unit will scan a maximum of 360o with a maximum
range of 50 meters. The total weight in water is less than 0.2 kg (0.4
lbs). |

DF-1030
Sub-Bottom Profiler
When
there is a need to know what is buried beneath the ocean floor, the Model
DF-1030 Sub-Bottom Profiler can provide the answer. This sub-bottom
profiler uses a conical beam of 10 - 30 kHz to penetrate the bottom up to
10 meters (depending on bottom hardness) and uses a proprietary DF
technology to provide 1 centimeter range resolution within the seabed. The
Model DF-1030 has been designed for ease of use. The unit
communicates directly to a laptop PC computer. This software package
provides a simple user interface, but includes advanced capabilities such
as data storage and playback, GPS integration, and echo sounder overlay. |
